Meet the Billings Roofers Who'll Be on Your Roof

No appointment desk, no "regional service team." At Yellowstone Roofing, real people in Billings answer the phone, walk the roof, write the estimate, and put our own employee crews on the job. Here's who does the work.

Our Own People on Every Roof — That's the Whole Show

Every roof we install is built by our own employee crews. The owner who writes your estimate is the one planning the tear-off, and the crew hauling off your old shingles answers to us, not to some outfit you've never heard of. You'll know whose truck is in your driveway because you'll have already met them.

That model is how the work gets done the way we want it done: on time, licensed and insured in the State of Montana, and with a magnet sweep of the yard before we leave. It's old-school attention to detail combined with contemporary skills — the reason we've earned an A+ rating with the BBB. Want the fuller story? Read more about Yellowstone Roofing.

Owner

Clay — Owner & Lead Estimator

Clay is the owner you'll actually meet. Customers across the Billings area know the drill: he's usually the one out to walk your roof, and he shoots straight. When Regan White called about a leak, Clay found the cause, fixed it, and told them the roof had a few more good years in it — instead of pushing a replacement they didn't need yet.

That honesty is the through-line in review after review. When Lisa Gouveia's roof got checked after a hail storm, Clay "could have told me I needed work done, but he was very honest and fixed a couple minor issues." That's the standard: straight answers and a firm bid, backed by 20+ years of experience.

Claiten — Estimator & Project Lead

Claiten handles estimates and keeps projects moving from first walk-through to final nail. Customers describe him as knowledgeable about the process and patient with the options — when Jon Jacobs needed a new roof, Claiten walked him through shingle choices before they landed on Malarkey.

The result of that planning shows in the finish: Jon's tear-off to completion took about nine hours, the yard was cleaned up well, and "we have yet to find a single nail." That's the follow-through we build into every job.

Install Crew Lead

Install Crew Lead

Our crew leads are Yellowstone Roofing employees, and they run the full tear-offs, the complex re-roofs, the standing-seam and metal installs, and any storm-damage scope that needs a senior eye on the trim and flashing details. They also train every new hire on fall-arrest, ladder safety, and how we expect a job site to look at the end of the day.

If your job is a full re-roof, a multi-slope replacement, or anything where metal has to be bent on site — one of our crew leads is the one in charge. As one longtime partner put it, "they take their work very seriously and are very professional... they do whatever it takes to complete the job to total satisfaction."

The Crew

The Crew

The people on your roof are our employees — trained by us, insured by us, and held to our standard. Many have worked together for the better part of a decade, and they finish every day with a magnet sweep of the lawn and driveway so your dog and your tires never find a nail.

Whether the job is a repair, a post-storm inspection, or a full replacement, the crew on your ladder answers to Clay and Claiten — the same small, dedicated team on TPO, shingles, and metal alike.
