Most single-family homes are a one- to two-day job — tear-off in the morning, dry-in by end of day one, finish the install and clean up on day two. One recent tear-off-to-completion in Billings ran about nine hours start to finish, with a clean yard and not a single stray nail left behind. Yes. Wind and hail claims are routine here — we document the damage with photos, write estimates that adjusters can actually work with, and we’ll meet the adjuster on your roof if it helps. Bring us the claim number and we’ll take it from there. One note: our free-quote promotions don’t apply to insurance-affiliated projects, but we’ll still walk the roof and document everything for your claim.

Four questions: How old is the existing roof? Is the damage in one spot or spread across multiple slopes? Are the shingles curling, missing granules, or shedding? And how long do you plan to be in the house? If the roof is over 18 years old and the damage isn’t isolated, repair is usually a band-aid. We’ll walk you through the math at the free estimate — and if a repair genuinely gets you more years, that’s what we’ll tell you. One customer had a leak fixed and was told the roof was good for another three years before a full replacement made sense.

For active leaks we move fast — often a truck the same day, even in winter. Properly hung seamless gutters last 20–25 years around here — if they survive the ice. Most failures we see in south-central Montana aren’t the gutter itself: they’re ice-dam damage, undersized downspouts that can’t keep up with spring snowmelt, bad pitch, or fascia rot underneath. We check all of it at the free estimate.

Yes. Cold-weather installs are part of roofing in Montana — our crews work in snow and cold snaps, and we plan each job around the weather window. If your roof fails in January, you don’t have to wait until May. We’ll tell you honestly if conditions mean a temporary dry-in first and a final install when the weather allows.

A real walk-the-roof inspection — not a drive-by. We check the shingles, flashings, valleys, gutters, and the decking and soffits underneath, then write an itemized, fixed-price estimate, often the same day you call. Financing is available through HFS Financial. No high-pressure same-day signing, no “ballpark” numbers shouted from the truck.

We watch the forecast and don’t schedule tear-offs into known multi-day systems — rain or snow. If weather hits mid-job, we have synthetic underlayment and tarps on the truck and the deck is never left exposed overnight; the dry-in happens before the crew goes home. A front rolling through may push our finish date by a day, but it never compromises the work.

Always. Tear-off shingles and debris go straight into our dump trailer and off-site at the end of the job. We run a magnet sweep over the lawn and driveway to pick up stray nails — customers mention it in reviews more than the roofs (one recent homeowner said they “have yet to find a single nail”). You shouldn’t be able to tell we were there, except for the new roof.
